Empowering Dreams, Shaping Food Culture

About this directory

The City Kitch is a shared-use commercial kitchen and virtual food hall in Wesley Heights, Charlotte. Food businesses rent licensed line space, cold storage, and prep areas here — then go out and build their own brands.

This directory exists to market those 7 businesses. It does three things: it lets you order takeout from the ghost kitchen brands cooking here, it lets you send an event request to the caterers, food trucks, bakers, chefs, and bar teams who work out of these rooms, and it gives every member a profile that shows up in search.

What we do not do

City Kitch is a connector, not a middleman. We do not process your payment, we do not negotiate your quote, and we do not own the relationship between you and the business you hire. There is no cart on this site and there never will be one that isn’t the vendor’s own.

When you tap Order Now, you land on that brand’s own ordering page. When you request a quote, the request goes to the vendor by email and text, and they reply to you directly. We made the introduction. They cook, they invoice, and they get paid.

That’s a deliberate constraint, and it’s the whole point. These are independent businesses. The directory works for them, not the other way round.

Why the hours matter so much

Ghost kitchens keep unusual hours — split shifts, late nights, batch production, the occasional pause while a pit gets rebuilt. Getting that wrong sends someone across town to a closed kitchen, and that’s a bad night for them and a bad review for a small business that did nothing wrong.

So every listing computes its status live, in Eastern time, including last call and holiday closures. When a kitchen is closed we say so plainly and tell you when they open — we never quietly hide the button.
