Privacy

What we collect

• Quote requests. Your name, email, phone, company, and the event details you enter.
• Reviews. Your name and email. We publish only your first name and last initial; the email is never published.
• Notify-me and newsletter signups. Your email address and what you said you were interested in.
• Usage events. Which profiles were viewed, which buttons were clicked, and which filters were applied, tied to a random identifier stored in your browser — not to your name.

Who we share it with

The vendors you choose, and no one else. Submitting a quote request sends your contact details and event particulars to the members you selected — at most five — so they can reply to you. We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to members you didn’t select.

Once a vendor has your details, their own privacy practices apply to how they use them. Ask them directly if you want that in writing.

Processors

Email delivery, SMS delivery, hosting, and database services are handled by third-party providers acting on our instructions. [TK — name the current providers.]

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser’s local storage for three things: a random session identifier for usage analytics, your saved vendors, and an in-progress event request so a refresh doesn’t lose your answers. All three stay on your device.

We also run Google Tag Manager, which loads Google’s analytics and advertising tags. These set their own cookies and share usage data with Google so we can measure which pages bring people to our members. Getting your data removed

Email us and we’ll delete your records — leads, reviews, and subscriptions — within 30 days. Note that we can’t retract information a vendor has already received; ask them directly for that. [TK — privacy contact address.]
