About Queen City Cheesesteaks

A father-and-daughter kitchen. Tim Barnes runs Queen City Cheesesteaks with his daughter Abrianna, and they have been cooking out of The City Kitch since 2023.

The point is authenticity, and Tim is specific about it: the bread, and the way the ribeye is sliced. The Classic is thin-sliced ribeye, grilled onions and Cheez Whiz. The Deluxe Chicken swaps in chicken breast, mushrooms, a pepper mix and white American.

Two years in the ghost kitchen proved the thing out, and in April 2025 they put it on the road — the Queen City Cheesesteaks truck now works events around Charlotte alongside the kitchen.
